Brewery,  Day Trips & Vacations

Cisco Brewers, Nantucket, RI

Cisco Brewers on Nantucket Island is just a comfy place to drop in whether via car or bike.  My girls and I went over to the island, rented some bikes, visited the beach and stopped here on the way back to the ferry.  They have food trucks for food and snacks and of course a great menu of beer, mixed drinks and wine.  Visit their website Cisco Brewers for more of what they have to offer.  Right now you need to reserve a table.  We were fortunate enough to get there as they opened so they had an open table for us without reservations.  They are very cautious, spraying your hands with sanitizer on the way in and visiting the restrooms.  The staff are super nice and the drinks are good!

Whalers was my first choice!  Brie got the Gripah.  It was a grapefruit IPA that became my favorite.  Not too citrisy!  Julia tried a coffee based drink.  None of us liked it because it was too strong but someone who loves coffee would like it.  Especially on a hot day!  Brie then tried the “special”.  It was a earthy drink with kale and cucumber.  Brie loved it, I thought it tasted like grass!  To each his own!!  Great place!

What a great day!

We left early for the ferry.  The fast ferry, The Steamship Authority, right now is not serving food and drink, but the ride was nice and went by fast.

It’s way too expensive to bring your car over.  The best way to get around is by bike or scooter.  We went straight to the Cisco Beach.  Bigger waves and fun to watch surfers.  After sitting on beach for a bit, we headed to the brewery.  After that, we went to Jetties Beach and sat at an outdoor restaurant, Galley Beach, where you could eat, drink, and jump in the ocean.  Very good food there!  We shared a lobster roll, shrimp lettuce cups, and New England clam chowder.  After that we returned our bikes and were back on the ferry heading back home!

Hi Nikki! Thanks for your comment! If you want to go to Nantucket, it’s best to go for the weekend. There is a lot of ground to cover in one day!
